I am in Lauterbrunnen now for a couple of days. Arrived soon after lunch yesterday with plenty of time to do a short venture in the mountains.

Had a fascinating experience in the train. I couldn’t quite pick all of the accents in use about me. The couple next to me from Ann Arbor Michigan had more trouble determining the accents.
I could only recognise Sydney and Melbourne, there may have been outback Queensland as well but do not want to promise that.
Yes, everyone on that train trip across the top of a mountain valley in central Switzerland seemed to be from Australia.
Got even more crazy over dinner here.
Every table I could here nearby was from Australia and the waiter was also. Not sure how much waiting he got to do, each time he had to tell where he came from and get excited to chat to someone from back home, except it was a bit like working in the café at the top of Mount Lofty on a sunny winter day.
About the same temperature too. Was about 16 - 18 here most of my time in the town. Then this morning I took a brief walk to the train station after breakfast. Now it is cold. my weather app says it is -2 but I don’t believe that. seems like about 8 but I finally needed the wonderful coat I have brought especially for my mountain time.
